Debbie Rosselle wrote to us to let us know that her students LOVE the Backyard Bass. Debbie teaches a 4 week boating, water safety and fishing unit in her elementary physical education classes. During the fishing segment, students are taught how to cast and then practice casting for accuracy with the Backyard Bass. They fish from the curb (river bank) and try to catch the fish in the driveway (river). Sometimes they run a tournament where students have 1 minute to see who can catch the most fish, or different points are given for certain color fish.
Debbie says, “Fishing is a great recreational and lifetime sport that anyone can do. Many core values and social interaction skills are developed.”
